I'm glad you like my site. I hope it gives you a lot of information on what problems we face with garbage pollution. The last time I made any changes to the information on this website was probably May 11, 2011.

Your website is great.I'm from Ukraine. This information helped me at my project)sorry if there'll be some mistakes in my message)
Waste Management is a big environmental issue. The landfills are overflowing due to the steady increase of waste. Today, Americans produce an average of 1,600 pounds of trash every year, a modest increase over a century. The large pile of garbage thrown in the fields cause breakage of the protective barriers, and this leads to leakage and tearing of the field itself. One solution is to limit the amount of cells or units of garbage thrown at the landfills and adopt new technology in the pursuit of better waste management solutions.

Have you ever looked at what the EU does with incineration? With the countries' limited land they have modernized incineration to become cogeneration processes (waste-to-energy) and have reduced toxic emissions with air pollution control.

garbage pollution is a parasite to our mother Earth.. there is a dire need to tackle the issue. it requires a stong toothed comb to control this issue.. it would be a feather to your article if you add more ways to control the garbage malice..

Scaling down, I moved to a neighborhood where there are few homeowners and many section 8 younger generation parents in the area and on the street where I reside. I'm a senior who sweeps 20 houses up from my resident and beyond the nearby alley everyday - the day before scheduled city trash pickup. I empty the swept trash into Mint X Trash Bags (for rodent and animal deterrent) that I purchase from Home Depot and some Walmart stores. Residents have walked their trash bags to a particular spot in the alley. Last week someone left 2 13 gallon bags full of soiled pampers on the sidewalk, about 3 feet from the alley and close to the sewer. I placed them in the Mint X Trash Bags and waited for the following week's trash pickup. My City's Solid Waste Department is diligent in removing debris and cleaning the alley, as submit a complaint along with an attached cell phone picture to the city's website for alley cleanup. I am performing this task once or twice each month. I believe the lawbreakers continue to accrue this wrong as they've noticed the trash is being cleaned up. Trash was piling up like a dumpster in the yard at one of the vacant houses when I moved to the neighborhood. I couldn't believe my eyes as people walked by and did nothing, yet complain about their city issues. I submitted that complaint and it was handled right away. With the weather warming, the stench from the nationwide pollution will intensify, becoming a bigger problem. HATS OFF TO ALL NATIONWIDE CITY & COUNTY CLEANUP PROGRAMS & CITIZENS! CLEANUP MUST START SOMEWHERE - WITH US!
Uh, tell me if I'm wrong, but your site is telling me that the info here hasn't been updated in 5 years (scroll up and on the right-hand corner, it says "Archives, January 2011"). Don't you think it's time to update the site?
